Gluten Free Treats for Super Bowl LVIII

If you haven’t heard, the Super Bowl is this coming Sunday! This season and game has made a number of headlines. If you are tuning in for the game, the halftime show, the commercials or Taylor Swift, you need good food! Many dishes around the Super Bowl are fried, dipped or between some bread. Here are some easy gluten free treats for your Super Bowl Party!

America loves a good burger or slider, but good gluten free buns are hard to come by. A lettuce wrap is a delicious alternative. It doesn’t take away from the meat like most buns do. Another alternative is using potatoes for buns! Just bake slices of potatoes (bigger slices than you think) at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, and then put all your favorite toppings on them.

Salads! Now, I don’t want people to think that all you can eat is salad, but there are some really great salads out there. I love all types of toppings, so any salad with just the toppings sounds like a dream. Cucumber, tomato, olives, avocado, sesame seeds, peppers, and broccoli topped with an Italian dressing!

Cheese, olives, pickles, and meats are all great choices, so a charcuterie board is a great addition! Just be careful of adding certain kinds of breads, crackers and pretzels. Rice crackers are a great choice! There are many different options and they go great with an assortment of cheeses and meats.

This next appetizer is so easy. It is just cream cheese, ham and pickles. All you have to do is spread cream cheese on the ham and wrap your pickle inside! Delicious.

Drinks can be tricky. I like to stay with what I know and leave the googling for other things. Most hard liquor is gluten free due to the distillery process, but some people still have reactions. My mom found Titos was a gluten free vodka and it became our go to. Pictured is Titos Vodka and kombucha with blackberries!
